Two documents
1. Internal credential of the Vía de los Andes (free). For use in Chile only. You can get it free of charge at any of the four starting churches: Santiago Cathedral, San Francisco (Alameda), San Agustín or La Merced. It is not valid in Spain.
2. Chilean Pilgrim Credential (dual). Created in 2025 and recognised by the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela as part of the Camino in the Americas. It certifies that you walked the Vía de los Andes and lets you validate those 25 km in Compostela if you continue your pilgrimage in Spain. You can request it before or after walking: if you request it afterwards, we transfer all the stamps of your internal credential.
How to order and pay
Everything is requested through a single form, «Solicitudes del Peregrino» (in Spanish). Prices in Chilean pesos:
- Testimonium Peregrinationis: $3,700.
- Chilean Pilgrim Credential: $3,700.
- Testimonium and credential together: $6,000.
- Vía de los Andes tile: $19,000.
Payment: bank transfer to Círculo Chileno de Amigos del Camino de Santiago · BancoEstado · Cuenta Vista N° 279-7-003858-8 · tesorero@caminosantiago.cl. The form asks for the receipt.
Pickup: Wednesdays 5–7 p.m. · San Félix 1318, Vitacura (pedestrian entrance on Las Hualtatas). You can also order from the Mi Credencial app, at the same prices.
