Tips for this stage
- The official distance is measured from the entry into Galicia; from Lubián a few more kilometres are added.
- Mountain climate: bring a warm layer even in summer.
From Lubián to Santiago de Compostela there are about 222.8 km left. If you start here, the distance is enough for the Compostela when you add the 25 km of the Vía de los Andes (minimum 75 km in Spain). In the last 100 km it is advisable to stamp your credential at least twice a day.
Before you set off
- Check the condition of the path and the albergues for the day; services change with the season.
- Carry water, sun protection and something to eat, especially on stretches without villages.
- Stamp your credential at albergues, parishes or shops along the way.
