Tips for this stage
- It is cold and windy on Mount Faro: bring warm clothing.
- Rodeiro is the approximate starting point for adding the Vía de los Andes along this Camino.
From Chantada to Santiago de Compostela there are about 104.4 km left. If you start here, the distance is enough for the Compostela when you add the 25 km of the Vía de los Andes (minimum 75 km in Spain). In the last 100 km it is advisable to stamp your credential at least twice a day.
Before you set off
- Check the condition of the path and the albergues for the day; services change with the season.
- Carry water, sun protection and something to eat, especially on stretches without villages.
- Stamp your credential at albergues, parishes or shops along the way.
